Give-away #8 [CLOSED]

I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. Heidi is so much better at the pleasantries no? Anyways, we're here to do our part in giving back to you.

We have truly enjoyed bringing these competitions to you as it has been a way to gain meaningful insight into your likes and shopping preferences. The feedback you've shared is invaluable and we literally can't thank you enough. This will be the final give-away on the blog for 2013. Of course, we must to something to celebrate the spirit of Christmas but that will be on our Facebook page so be sure to like it - if you haven't already done so - and select the option to show our posts in your news feed. Things get lost in the abyss that is Facebook.

Since it's the final one for a minute we had to make it extra special. How are we gonna top that M.A.C Technique giveaway, you ask? Well, this toss we're going to have two prizes, and two winners, in one competition. You can choose if you want to be entered for prize A or B or both.

First prize: over the course of the year you've reinforced to us how much you love M.A.C so this one is for all the die hard M.A.C addicts.

Prize A: 'Cherry' Lip Pencil, 'Rio' Mineralize Skinfinish (limited edition), 'RiRi Woo' Lip Glass (limited edition), 'Layin' Low' Pro Longwear Paint Pot, 'All Fired Up' Retro Matte Lipstick and 'Rougemarie' Nail Lacquer

Then I felt that that wasn't enough so I added my M.A.C Technique notebook (unused).

When I first attended M.A.C Workshops the notebooks were just face charts one side and lined pages for notes on the other. This new scrapbook, if you will, is a drastic improvement filled with 'how tos', tips and tricks and a section dedicated to a wish list. Truly remarkable.

In addition, we wanted to give someone a chance to try a host of products that they might have otherwise overlooked. So the second prize is a little mixed bag of goodies:

Prize B: L'Oreal Telescopic Precision Liquid eyeliner in 'Dark Brown' (Waterproof), Jordana Quickliner for lips in 06 'Cherrywood', Milani Color Perfect lipstick in 05 'Fuchsia Freeze', Black Radiance Perfect Tone lip gloss, NYX butter gloss in 'Strawberry Parfait', Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids lipstick in 'Hot Plum', Jolie Cosmetics lip gloss in 'Haute', Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Quad (Moonstone, Sandbar, Luster and Mocha), Wet n Wild Coloricon blusher in 'Berry Shimmer' and a Donna Michelle nail polish

How to enter:

1. Subscribe to this blog by entering your email address in the box under 'Keep In De Do'.
2. Comment below stating: 1) which prize you'd like to win (A or B or both) and 2) where is your favourite place to shop for cosmetics in Barbados and why.

*additional entries can be achieved by following Heidi - @ModenMakeup and myself - @lr_interlaceinc on Instagram. Just leave your user name along with your comment*

That's it!

Good luck!

...and again, thank you.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe.

Corny? I know. I try.

Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same.

You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here.
