Team Clear Skin

Lovelies,

My granddad asked me just this morning if I have acne. And I was soooo pleased! Then he said, well ya always got on the mask so I ain't sure ( he meant the makeup). These gentle folks, soooooo funny. NOT.

In any event, this was as soon as I had risen from a sweet slumber, I had just come downstairs to get the products from my latest haul. I was showing him what I'd bought and he was interested to see that I had my all time favourite cleanser to date the Clearasil. So it means that, the state of my skin has improved, cause he saw me barefaced, yampee and all.

I had a serious facial cartroad going on just before Christmas. Between the terrible food, lack of sleep, working on Moden and my other job, and other commitments, my skin reacted badly. So I decided to try a new skincare regimen and get this ish under control.

Enter my beloved Clearasil - Daily Clear, Oil Free Daily Face Wash. It lasts me a month exactly, with use twice daily. I am happy.

So then, after a long day of full makeup, highlight, contour alllll that jazz. My skin needs a breather, so I take my trusty Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths and remove as much of the cake I can. Usually I only need one, unless I've done the most. They work beautifully!

And when acne rears it's ugly pus filled head, I reach for this Clear zit faster than a greased boar cat! I do NOT like the stupid, wha happen dat ya face look suh bumpy questions, but more than that. I want clean, evenly toned skin. So this product zaps away the pimples, and helps restore balance to my crazy skin. Thanks for the recommendation Lucinda!! Love yaz!

I have altered my diet somewhat and whenever I am thirsty, I drink water. I DO sometimes indulge in iced tea, or juice (I've been juicing, ya'll stay tuned for my blog on the best juices for the skin), but for the most part I drink water. And that has made a tremendous difference.

What's on your list for skincare this month? Please share!

Heidi xoxo

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe.

Corny? I know. I try.

Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same.

You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here.
