Make Out 2014 - March Update

From 2/14 at the end of February to a whole lotta lip products...

March haul

and lip products was the one thing I said I certainly need no more of. Sigh.

My Saks Fifth Avenue haul has swatches of the Tom Ford lipstick, Heidi raved about those NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and I just wanted another NYX Butter Gloss so I could do an overview. If you follow our Facebook page or my Instagram you would have seen when the new Milani products reached No. 1 Beauty Supply. I had to try their anti-feathering lip liner especially since I've heard that it performs as well as the Make Up For Ever one.

6/14:( How will I make it?

In related news, the nail polish haul was straight up ridiculous! In my defense: 1) I didn't purchase all of these, and 2) I'm on the hunt for the perfect polish in certain colours. The rest I will be placing in the blog sale.

Any tips for effectively using those nail appliques?

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

Unlike my Influencers post the persons mentioned below are all local and I know them. If that makes me biased then you should take everything I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

Heidi Bowen of Moden Makeup

Let's get the obvious one out of the way shall we 😉 I've said before how much I've learned watching Heidi conduct her Workshops. Since then she has increased her skillset, restructured her modules and truly focused on knowledge sharing. Every participant departs feeling enlightened; emboldened to try something they once thought was daunting. No one leaves empty handed. This kindda thing speaks to me because I've attended many M.A.C classes and saw the value only in the products I was reimbursed. Not to say, the outing isn't a good time - especially if you go with friends - but some settings leave you more intimidated than excited. #TeamModen affiliations aside, I can see how Heidi has grown as a Beauty Educator. And fuh my one part I know any session booked…
