Make Out 2014 - April Update

Who's been a good girl?! *raises hand*

Sephora Cream Lip Stain '01 always red' purchased from Exotica Makeup and Extensions, $45BDS

Yup, that's it. That Sephora lip stain has been a hot commidty for months. Selling out in days every time Exotica Makeup and Extensions brought it back. I wasn't even gonna bother with it but then I got tuh wondering how it compares to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream that I purchased last month. See what we go through in the name of research?

It's a good thing this Make Out 2014 thing doesn't include nail polish cause I'd be in duck's guts.

I ain't even get through March's polishes yet. Oh for shame!

What goodies did you pick up last month?

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Heidi Bowen of Moden Makeup

Let's get the obvious one out of the way shall we 😉 I've said before how much I've learned watching Heidi conduct her Workshops. Since then she has increased her skillset, restructured her modules and truly focused on knowledge sharing. Every participant departs feeling enlightened; emboldened to try something they once thought was daunting. No one leaves empty handed. This kindda thing speaks to me because I've attended many M.A.C classes and saw the value only in the products I was reimbursed. Not to say, the outing isn't a good time - especially if you go with friends - but some settings leave you more intimidated than excited. #TeamModen affiliations aside, I can see how Heidi has grown as a Beauty Educator. And fuh my one part I know any session booked…
