My next purchases... - Heidi

Moden's birthday is the 28th and we will be 3 years old!

We're keeping the party low key, but as usual, we have something up our sleeves.

For now, I'm planning my next makeup/beauty purchases.

I am TEMPTED to buy from this collection:

Beaute' Louboutin - Who's with me?
Rouge Louboutin is out of stock at, but I'ma get mine!! I really am a shoe chick you know. But since I can't afford a pair of red bottoms right now, at least my toes can scream Loubie for a fraction of the price.

Here's the write up on these beauties:

The Signature
A timeless shade of red nail colour, vibrant on any skin tone and inspired by the iconic sole of every Christian Louboutin shoe.

“The red sole was born from red nail polish. I am giving back to beauty what the shoes took from the nails many years ago.” –Christian Louboutin

The Cap
From the inside of the towering seven-inch calligraphy-inspired cap peeks out a flash of red—an echo of the color of the iconic sole. Modeled after the heel of the Ballerina ULTIMA, the highest heel Christian Louboutin ever designed, and perfectly weighted to ensure the utmost ergonomic comfort and control.

The Brush
Custom designed with a triangle-bristle construction that inhibits bubbles and deposits a smooth, flawless film of colour.

The Bottle
Architectural yet whimsical, molded from cut glass and inspired by classical balustrades found in European buildings. An object d’art to be displayed and admired, and exhibited in a luxurious black presentation box.

The Formula
Highly pigmented, chip-proof, and resulting in a brilliantly shiny finish that mimics the reflection of patent leather. Free of toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP.

“Christian Louboutin nail colour encourages the wearer to take her time and enjoy the pleasure of the object as well as the pleasure of colour.” –CL

The next item on my list surprised me. Now I have no need for a lip plumper, my lips are full and voluptuous thank you very much BUT. When our new friend Jeanette from Sephora introduced me to it, I had to purchase, so technically I'm repurchasing in a different colour.

You sexy mother pucker you... RUDE
Meet my new favourite lip gloss, Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme Plump Collagen Lip Shine I actually have this product in the pink colour called nude rose, which shows up slightly on me. BUT it is absolutely gorgeous applied over any of my lipsticks, or with a nice mahogany or chestnut lip liner. I also have a sample of the How Nude pictured above, and THAT is the honey. Glossy and delicious looking. Oh and talk about long lasting?? Chile!! This is my new go to gloss!!

As soon as I discovered this while researching new/newish products, I emailed Lucinda. BB Gel?? WELL this promises to work on blemishes AND mattify. Intrigued? well so am I. So I want it. Oh and it's supposed to be ideal for hot climates too, we'll see....

I have never purchased anything from CoverFX but my girl, Youtuber Kandee Johnson uses their powders and so I'm going to try on me and invest for my kit IF I find that this and the powders are legit.

I am the Princess of Pores so when I stumbled across the Benefit Vending Machine in the departure lounge of JetBlue at JFK in NYC, I was in a state. My credit card wouldn't work, so I promised myself to try their POREfessional balm that 'minimizes the appearance of pores'. Anything to help my foundation apply smoother and make me look MORE flawless.

Suddenly I'm into highlighting and bronzing. It's amazing what a little knowledge can do. I find that I use less liquid and more powder highlighters, it makes my life easier, I just layer and go. So the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Trio was in my clutches when I visited Sephora BUT, I had to let it go as it costs a whopping $58.00US. Child, I had to buy more Sephora glosses girl. So, when uh save the coppers, yesss honey this is MINE, and maybe around Christmas I'll bless the kit lol.

Comment below and tell us what you INTEND to buy next!

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

With Key Ingredients:

Purified Lactic Acid: One of the most hydrating Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Lactic Acid exfoliates the surface layers of t…

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe.

Corny? I know. I try.

Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same.

You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here.
