Lip Product Addict Tag

Here's a fun post created by YouTubers Essie Button and Amelia Liana. I'm no where near the lipstick whore status of my mainest Janelle but honestly I do have more than a normal woman should. Who cares about being normal anyways? For many of these categories I had to mention two products. I know, I know, how terrible.

Favourite balm/treatment: A+D Ointment (Original)

This made my Top Ten for 2013 and still has Holy Grail status to me. No matter what new lip balms I try and love; I always return to this to soothe chapped, rashed or excessively dry lips. It works great on new tattoos as well.

Best eye-catching red: M.A.C 'RiRi Woo' and 'Deeply Adored'

I honestly couldn't decide. 'Deeply Adored' makes me feel very old Hollywood and 'RiRi Woo' is just poppin. This is the one category that may be subject to change because I have some red lippies from Tom Ford, Smashbox and Sephora that I'm yet to give a fair shake.

Best luxury & best drugstore: YSL Rouge Volupte Shine #19 and Tom Ford 'Paradiso'; NYX Black Label 'Sand' and the Rimmel ShowOff/Apocalips lip lacquers

Best M.A.C lipstick: 'Creme In Your Coffee' and 'Candy Yum-Yum'

Special shout out to Heidi on that yummy goodness. I had heard so much hype about that pink but just figured it would look terrible on me. Lo and behold!

The most disappointing: L'Oreal Extraordinaires by Colour Riche

Liner - yes or no? Hell yes!

I'm a huge fan of the liner-plus-gloss instead of lipstick option.

Best gloss: NYX Butter Glosses

Something extra: three lipstick formulas you NEED to try - Ardency Inn, Too Faced La Creme and Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

With Key Ingredients:

Purified Lactic Acid: One of the most hydrating Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Lactic Acid exfoliates the surface layers of t…

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe.

Corny? I know. I try.

Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same.

You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here.

Can you tell which is which? No? Well, neither can I.
