Overview: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color

From the site: "Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips".

The line consists of 26 colours. I have five presently.

(L -R) '903C Just Peachy', '906D Wine Room', '914C Mocha-licious', '911D Stoplight Red' and '965 Cherry Picking'
Three passes(swipes?) each

Locally you can find these at iMart locations for $8.95BDS (3.3 grams). They retail in the US for about $2USD. Our Jamaican family can get theirs from Significant Details for $7USD.

I know I'm tardy to party with this one. I've had the majority of these for a while - starting with 'Cherry Picking' - but only decided to do this post late last year. Heidi and I strive to give our supporters well rounded information; high end, beauty supply store and everything in between. So it was truly time to share my thoughts on these cost effective beauties.

Y'all already know how I feel bout dese orangey-ish colours on me but as per usual blending with a brown lip liner saves the day.

When I picked this one up I thought it would have been more berry toned but on me it looks like a mid-toned pink. Speaking of pink, we're doing a #PinkLipsChallenge all February long. Come join the fun on Instagram.

'906D Wine Room'

This doesn't need a lip liner but I spruced up the edges a bit for some definition.

I love neutral lip colours and this one had me feeling sometypeoway!

'914C Mocha-licious'
Ahhhh my first love...

'965 Cherry Picking'

Again, this doesn't need a liner but y'all know I love mixing pinks and reds with 'Nightmoth'.

And finally, yuh just can't beat a good red lipstick.

'911D Stoplight Red'

The major complaint about these lipsticks that you'll hear in every YouTube review is with the packaging. Since the product doesn't retract completely into the bullet it is near impossible not to rub the transparent cap on it. This leads to a mess.

I've also noticed that they're inconsistencies in the packaging; the product in 'Wine Room' is extended further than the others - or there's more product in it? - so lipstick was smearing in the very top of the cap even before I opened it.

Speaking of opening...

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color packaging

These have a plastic seal around each tube so please make sure you don't purchase one that's been opened...well, unless you knew that already *cough* The Moden Makeup Marketplace *cough*

Another inconsistency is in the formula. The marketing blurb claims:."..a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed" 'Cherry Picking' and 'Spotlight Red' feel more creamy than the others. There's a possibility that the more creamy formulas would migrate on to your teeth and outside the lip lines. 'Just Peachy' will feel drying after a few hours whereas 'Cherry Picking' never does. We always encourage you to adequately exfoliate and moisturize your lips before using any longwear/matte lipstick. And, I don't know bout that "one stroke" business; the lighter colours will need to be built up...but not too much because they quickly look very chalky. I think it's better to dab these on if you're using it straight from the bullet or use a lip brush. Overall, the pigment lends well to blotting and reapplying technique to ensure maximum staying power and the most even coverage.

Pigmentation, though good across the board, also varies. 'Cherry Picking' and 'Spotlight Red' stain like a mofo. But that can just be chalked up to the nature of the colours.

Stained lips

Challenges aside, a product of this quality at such an awesome price shouldn't be passed up. I know a lot of you already have a couple of these in your collection. Which one is your favourite?

Well howdy to a flaming 2020 💣

Ok, let's remain positive and do what we have to to beat this thing.

If you're looking for a brief escape from the onslaught of bad news, #nojudgementzone here. Let me hop back into this blogging thing for a much needed source of distraction and hopefully; a lil product information.

We've never really talked about perfumes before so let's do that:

Maison Margiela REPLICA 'Dancing On The Moon' 0.04 fl. oz.

Description: "Dancing On The Moon is an invitation to an extraterrestrial escape.
The fragrance delicately combines a bouquet of white flowers with a soft mineral side.
White Jasmine flower is lifted by aldehydes and moonflower notes.
As the perfume evolves, the warmer notes of ambergris, musk and vanilla emerge.

Feel the weightlessness of your body slip away from reality.
Your ethereal moves cast pale shadows on the lunar landscape.
A gracious defiance.

This bright Eau de Parfum is part of the Replica Fantasies Collection.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*
