Quickie Raves (5)

Taking the time to 'clean up' my brows with this makes the world of difference; especially in photos.

Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist 'White Citrus'

This is a surprise one; I bought this so long ago I forgot about it. To be honest, I don't even know what caused me use this...wait, it was the heat. Their description: "Lavishly splash or lightly spritz your favorite fragrance, either way you'll fall in love at first mist! Our carefully crafted bottle and sophisticated pump delivers great coverage while conditioning aloe mist nourishes skin for the lightest, most refreshing way to fragrance!
Top Notes: Lemon Zest, Sparkling Grapefruit, Juicy Tangerine
Mid Notes: Mandarin NP, Ginger Flower, Water lily, Apricot Nectar, Lily of the Valley, Freesia
Dry Notes: Clean Woods, Sheer Musk
".

Refreshing is definitely the right word.

M.A.C Studio Careblend Pressed 'Dark Deep'

Talking to my M.A.C Artist friends recently I was told this product has been discontinued. A few are still available here though. I think this is a happy medium between their Mineralized Skinfinish Natural and the Studio Fix Powder.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz 'Brunette'

I had this for a very long time before I actually used it. Heidi buss this open before I did. This is talked about so much on YouTube that you must be sick of it. Y'all know I'm a fan of the Maybelline Define-A-Brow so I wasn't buying into the Brow Wiz hype. Well, the hype in this instance is real. If your brows are already well shaped this will make perfecting a breeze.

M.A.C 'Turquatic'

"Your favourite fragrance in a take-anywhere 6 ml Rollerball, Turquatic, M∙A∙C's sensual sea-inspired fragrance with notes of anemone, lotus, orris and Corsican blue cedar". I bought this solely because of Kokofemme's rave review but honestly I wasn't impressed at first. Fast forward to one hot day last month and this thing smelled so damn good on me. Something about the heat, my body chemistry and this scent combined is just magic.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

Purified Lactic Acid: One of the most hydrating Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Lactic Acid exfoliates the surface layers of t…
