Pros

Cons
  • There's a distinctive floral/powdery scent to these that lingers for a bit
  • The colour of the packaging is not exactly the shade of the product. Look at 'Choco-Lacque' in particular
  • Limited shade range
  • 'Game, Set & Matte' did apply smoothly but it took quite a few layers to reach some semblance of opacity and it still looked patchy to me. In all fairness that could just be due to the lightness of that shade.
  • Only the ingredients for the La Lacque formula is listed on the Company's website: "SODODECANE, POLYETHYLENE, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, ETHYLHEXYL STEARATE, C30-45 ALKYL CETEARYL DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, HYDROGENATED PALM KERNEL GLYCERIDES, ISOHEXADECANE, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE, CAMPHOR, HYDROGENATED PALM GLYCERIDES, ALUMINA, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE,BHT, ARGANIA SPINOSA OIL / ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, CARTHAMUS TINCTORIUS OIL / SAFFLOWER SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL, ROSA CANINA FLOWER EXTRACT, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, ROSA CANINA FRUIT OIL, SILICA, TIN OXIDE [+/- MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES, CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE, CI 45410 / RED 28 LAKE, CI 15850 / RED 7 LAKE, MICA, CI 75470 / CARMINE, CI 15985 / YELLOW 6 LAKE, CI 15850 / RED 6, CI 15850 / RED 7, CI 42090 / BLUE 1 LAKE, CI 77120 / BARIUM SULFATE, CI 16035 / RED 40, CI 73360 / RED 30, CI 77742 / MANGANESE VIOLET, CI 15850 / RED 6 LAKE, CI 73360 / RED 30 LAKE, CI 77007 / ULTRAMARINES, CI 19140 / YELLOW 5 LAKE, CI 16035 / RED 40 LAKE, CI 17200 / RED 33 LAKE]"
This a solid offering from L'Oreal into the lip crayon market. I don't know why they choose to scent their lip products like that but that's more of a personal thing.

Thanks to Victoria for the hook up!

#ShamlessPlug there's a few of these available in The Marketplace.

*update*

A positive feature I forgot to mention is that each product name is on a sticker at the top of the cap. No losing the name due to it being on external wrapping only.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.
