Summer '16 Standouts (Combos)

Last year's Summer Standouts post idea came to me at random and it's one I quite like. While I have been updating you on my monthly favourites I feel like Summer is a beast in and of itself. For us it's Crop Over time and that usually means more going out...which means more dressing up. It's a perfect time to either explore new products and techniques or bust out the dependable favourites. For the first time ever, at least in recent memory, I went to no events. In fact, I've been accused of becoming a recluse. I don't think it's so drastic but it is true that I do get out less; must be getting old. All that to say that my standout products this toss are mostly skincare related. Check out my keeks for the hauls. Click the links provided for more information.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask + Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil

I love using charcoal or clay masks when my skin is feeling excessively oily. As you could imagine, they're a lot of those day in Summer. Following up with an oil restores the hydration to my skin and this oil in particular is great since it's a retinoid treatment.

Separate reviews to come on these products but for now just know that this combination makes my skin incredibly smooth and soft the next morning. Regular readers know that I'm a fan of acid toners and serums.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.
