Random Question

Benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which one works best for you?

Drugstore acne creams - www.modenmakeup.com

I've already told you how I feel about another acne cream. While I wasn't impressed with the price I do appreciate benzoyl peroxide creams to treat acne on my face. With that in mind, I'm mainly of the opinion that if the maximum strength is 10% for these benzoyl peroxide creams we could just get anyone regardless of price right? I dunno. Since continued use of any topical acne treatments can cause dry flakey skin I'd recommend using these things with caution. Can the inactive ingredients contribute to that dryness? Yes. So if you have dry or sensitive skin beware.

I'm not a fan of salicylic acid creams for my face but I use plenty of it in toners and body washes. Both Heidi and I have raved about the benzoyl peroxide version of Clear Zit. Collins really needs to restock that and get rid of this imposter! 😡 Salicylic acid like um very potent since the highest percentage you usually see in face products in 2.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

More garbage 😆

Let's start with hair stuff.

I love the Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla scent; their leave-in conditioner is a standard repurchase. Healthy Kinks Botanicals is a local brand that I support. Scalp oil? Yes. Twist and Style Cream? Yes yes. That Kopari "coconut melt" thing is an overpriced literally cash grab. It's just coconut oil folks. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist again, standard repurchase. Lastly, Olaplex No. 3, presently I think this is the only product in the Olaplex range that's worth the money.

Body stuff:

Do I truly need to try so many body washes when I purchase Eden's Choice Naturals soap regularly? Absolutely not. I gotta cut back. Still, Mario Badescu A.H.A soap is a must have if you deal with body acne. Also. that new-ish Bath and Body Works 'Love' Jasmine + Sandalwood scent is everything.

Smell goods:

Repurchases all. Puressentiel really needs to make that Respiratory Air Spray in a huge can. 20 ml is not enough.
