Would I 'Repurchase'? CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara

CoverGirl and their rubber bristle mascaras. For the last five years I've been trying the Lash Blast range and generally finding them average.

From the site: "FULL LASH BLOOM MASCARA BY LASHBLAST

With Full Lash Bloom Mascara, get exceptional full lashes that’s soft - even to the touch. With our new petal-shaped brush and mousse formula with natural beeswax, lashes are never stiff or brittle. Perfect for everyday wear, Full Lash Bloom Mascara is also safe for contact lens wearers and is ophthalmologically tested. So bring out every last lash, and embrace you in full bloom!

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1
Hold the brush as close as possible to the base of your lashes.

Step 2
Wiggle brush gently as you move it upward through lashes towards the ends. Build as desired so that you can reach every single lash, creating a soft, full look.

This mascara is available in 'Very Black', 'Black' and 'Black Brown'. I have the 'Black' version and it was gifted to me by Victoria. Hence the 'repurchase' in the title.

I agree with the "soft look" claims. The consistency of this formula is pretty typical for CoverGirl. Combined with the wand, you get definition and a slight tint to your lashes.

Regular readers know that I'm about the drama so I wouldn't purchase. But if you're looking for an everyday mascara this could be the one. The whole hype behind this formula is that it doesn't leave your lashes brittle. I'm not one to be touching my eyelashes often or rubbing my eyes soooooooooo meh. The harshest formulas on lashes are waterproof ones and damage can be minimized by using oil based removers and not tugging on this sensitive area. Speaking of removal, this product was average in this regard as well.

I feel like you have to take special care not to poke yourself in the eye when dealing with these rubble bristle wands. Other than that, CoverGirl mascaras on a whole are ok enough in my books to have in the rotation.

#ShamelessPlug if you'd like to try this product we do have one available in The Marketplace 😏

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.
