As you can guess, I attempted mixing the foundations since both of them were the wrong shade. Lord havest mercy; this foundation matching is hard work.

The eyeliners were the clear winners this toss. Why haven't I tried these 'well' type eyeliners before?! And this Turquoise pencil one is FYAH!

The Inglot highlighter trick me; at first I thought it was just a glittery mess but when blended the base gives a nice glow and the bigger particles fall away (or blend, whatever). It's a gorgeous inner corner highlight as well as on the collar bones.

Thus far the Stila palette seems to be typical Stila quality - pigmented with lots of fall out. The blushes were very blendable though.

I'm sure they'll be separate reviews on almost everything soon. Feel free to let me know what you want to see first 😊

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

Heidi Bowen of Moden Makeup

Let's get the obvious one out of the way shall we 😉 I've said before how much I've learned watching Heidi conduct her Workshops. Since then she has increased her skillset, restructured her modules and truly focused on knowledge sharing. Every participant departs feeling enlightened; emboldened to try something they once thought was daunting. No one leaves empty handed. This kindda thing speaks to me because I've attended many M.A.C classes and saw the value only in the products I was reimbursed. Not to say, the outing isn't a good time - especially if you go with friends - but some settings leave you more intimidated than excited. #TeamModen affiliations aside, I can see how Heidi has grown as a Beauty Educator. And fuh my one part I know any session booked…
