Son & Park Beauty Water - $30USD

I've seen a few rave reviews about this and they got me interested. Y'all know I stay trying out toners.

Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser - $26USD

I tried I sample of this and I am impressed! This comes highly recommended by Stephanie Nicole too.

Cane + Austin Prime & Protect Mattifying Primer with Broad Spectrum SPF 50 - $56USD

Another YouTuber recommendation, this time by Casey Holmes. She has oily skin and raves about this as a great oil controlling product. Of course, the high SPF sealed the deal for me.

Peter Thomas Roth Moor Please! Irish Moor Mud 3-Piece Kit - $38USD

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me speak very highly of this Moor Mud Mask. This kit comes with a 1.7 oz jar which is great because the 5 oz retails for $58USD.

Herbivore Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask - $48USD

What can I say? I love exfoliators.

Sephora Collection Lip Balm 'Almond' - $6USD

Kirsten said recently that this smells amazing.

Yup the focus is totally on skincare. I'm going to try extremely hard not to purchase any lip products or highlighters...although that new NARS palette looks amazing 😍

NARS Banc De Sable Highlighting Palette - $49USD

and I've had my eye on this Sephora Favorites's set for a while.

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip™ - $28USD

What I may not have the strength to resist are some pencil eyeliners. I know, I know; I don't need any more. But Tara said the new Marc Jacobs matte ones are nice and she also raved about the ones from Givenchy. I've tried 'Cobalt' from the latter and it's a stunner.

Givenchy Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner '05 Jade' - $27USD

Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner 'Mist Me? 55 - lilac' - $25USD

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

Unlike my Influencers post the persons mentioned below are all local and I know them. If that makes me biased then you should take everything I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

Heidi Bowen of Moden Makeup

Let's get the obvious one out of the way shall we 😉 I've said before how much I've learned watching Heidi conduct her Workshops. Since then she has increased her skillset, restructured her modules and truly focused on knowledge sharing. Every participant departs feeling enlightened; emboldened to try something they once thought was daunting. No one leaves empty handed. This kindda thing speaks to me because I've attended many M.A.C classes and saw the value only in the products I was reimbursed. Not to say, the outing isn't a good time - especially if you go with friends - but some settings leave you more intimidated than excited. #TeamModen affiliations aside, I can see how Heidi has grown as a Beauty Educator. And fuh my one part I know any session booked…
