$200 USD Skincare Haul | Sephora VIB Sale

The dust has settled. The craze has subsided. Sephora managed to get the orders out...although some came with different samples and some with no samples at all. 100 point perks got cancelled...never mind you placed your order at 3 am on the first day. Etc. etc. Laparkan has sent two of my three packages so here we are #judgenot 😉

From my Wish List post you could see that focus was on skincare. That part of the plan was adhered to though the outcome looks a lil different.

Somewhere in my early morning shopping mind I decided it was a good idea to get a bunch of masks to try. Look out for 'Mask Monday' posts shortly.

I really really tried to not purchase any lip products...but if you follow me on Periscope you'll see soon that that didn't work out. But lip scrubs count as skincare too right?

As I bitterly alluded to earlier, I didn't get the samples I chose or a 100 point perk that I was looking forward to but I am impressed with the size of the Supergoop sunscreen. The Dr. Jart Beauty Balm is too light for me but Tara raves about it so yuh know...

I'm sure the rest of the haul will show up in either a comparison post or #LipSwatchWeek but if you wanna be up to de time, follow me on Periscope 😏

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe.

Corny? I know. I try.

Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same.

You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here.
