Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Wish List

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those that have been affected by the recent hurricanes. 🙏

All eyes have been on the Fenty Beauty line since its debut on September 8. Rightly so, our girl has teamed up with Kendo Holdings - the company behind Kat Von D Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty and Bite Beauty - to bring more diversity to the makeup world.

I'm sure you've seen a bagillion first impression videos by now. You might have also heard that this launch seems to have some people pressed. 😕 Iz you big mad or lil mad? Anyho, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and most magazines and blogs are all talking Fenty Beauty and #TeamModen is loving it.

We're crossing our fingers that the brand will reach our shores. We don't know if that's ever going to be possible since it's currently only available: on and in their stores (in certain countries), on and in their stores, and from The brand's website does offer international shipping. If Cave Shepherd can't work out something maybe her brother can make a few products available in his clothing store

I'm waiting until I travel to feel up de tings in person but here are the products I have my eyes on.

Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundations - $34USD

About time I restart those foundation reviews right? Rihanna got a lot of brands shook by the extensive shade range...especially where darker tones are concerned. So far it sounds like a hit for oily folk. Sign me up. image image

Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks - $25USD

Most oily people avoid cream products but I'm becoming more inspired to use them every time I watch the Pixiwoo sisters. Their makeup looks very flawless and 'skin like'. The coloured Skinsticks remind me of Nars' Mutiples and I might just pick up one or two.

"Meet the magnetized longwear makeup sticks that come together in two light-as-air finishes and a shade lineup to satisfy your every need:..SHIMMER Skinsticks highlight, blush, and enhance—so you can mix and match, magnetize and multiply.

Match Stix SHIMMER Skinstick lets you highlight, blush, and enhance with its sick rainbow lineup: 10 universal colors that catch light in ways you never dreamed of

There's also the option of getting a trio based on your skin tone "with two Match Stix MATTE Skinsticks to conceal and contour, and one Match Stix SHIMMER Skinstick to highlight". Those trios retail for $54USD.

The Invisimatte Blotting Powder ($32USD) looks interesting and it's pretty cool that the Portable Touch Up Brush 130 ($24USD) designed to accompany it actually magnetize together but I know that I don't ever carry face products around. Speaking of face products...

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters - $34USD

'Trophy Wife' seems to be sending people bezerk! I will definitely have to swatch these before making a decision. Some shades in the split pans even look like blush toppers 😍

"Light up where you want, when you want. Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter was born to reflect your every mood with its lineup of luminizing solos and duos. With a dose of skin-glorifying color, Killawatt ranges from subtle dayglow to insanely supercharged with shades that were designed for all skin tones.

Unlike your everyday highlighter, Killawatt keeps skin lit beyond sundown with its weightless longwear formula — a cream-powder hybrid that instantly melts into skin and blends with almost zero effort. Another win: It’s loaded with superfine shimmer for an ultra-smooth, creamy texture.

For killer radiance, Killawatt’s your go-to for highlighting your face, eyes, lips, collarbone ... literally anywhere you crave a touch of light

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer 'Fenty Glow' - $18USD

I'm a lip gloss gal so this right up my alley and this price is $8USD cheaper than my current favourite formula.

"The ultimate, gotta-have-it lip gloss with explosive shine that feels as good as it looks—in one universal rose nude shade". images

The tools in the line ($16 - $34USD) look ok but again I'd have to see them in person to decide. Y'all know I already have a mobbaton of brushes and beauty sponges.

Let us know what you're hoping to purchase from Fenty Beauty in the comments.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

#Anti-Haul | My Brand Blacklist

In keeping with the Brand Awareness series, I was planning to do a Beauty Brands Drama series and discuss just that. The idea was scrapped cause really, I like to laugh and ting at dem tings but they don't truly matter in the grand scheme of life. What does matter though is that we be smart consumers. Let's not fall into mob mentality - whether for or against. Let's spend our money wisely and less susceptible to marketing ploys.

By all means, spend your money how you want. Like whichever brand you choose. Rep whomever influencer you "love". This is just my 10¢.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I bought one of his liquid lipsticks; I wore it once and then I threw it away (I didn't like the scent). Yuh see, I actually believe that this man is just an entertainer. He likes to say things for shock value. He likes the limelight...loves the attention. What he actually believes? I don't know if we'll ever really know. What I know fuh sure though is that he ain't tu…
