Beautylish Lucky Bag 2019

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2019 card -

Another year, another Beautylish Lucky Bag. Yet again this is the $75USD (plus shipping) medium/deep bag.

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2019 haul -

I completely forgot to check the site at the launch time so I missed out on the XL bag. If I can't get one of those next year (well, December 26) I might not bother. That said, I got less repeat products than I did last time.

Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum - $12USD
By Terry Rouge-Expert Click Stick '25. Dark Purple' - $32USD
Wayne Goss The Brow Set - $55USD
Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette 'The Dolce Vita' - $53USD
Farmacy Hydrating Coconut Gel Sheet Mask - $6USD
Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush ' Rougeur' - $32USD

Total - $190USD

While my value was a little less than last year's and year before, I only got one repeat product. A little while ago Surratt Beauty was on 50% sale from Sephora so I got two blushes and a highlighter.

I do have another Rouge-Expert Click Stick but thankfully in a different shade. To see my initial reaction while opening the box check out my Scope.

The Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette will come in handy for travelling I'm sure. $53 doah?! 😱

I would have loved to see a Sonia G brush but we'll see what's up with this Brow Set.

The initial unboxing videos of this year's Lucky Bag was interesting to watch since everyone got something from Good Molecules but there was no information about the brand online. People were estimating that the products ranged from $15 - $30. Well, it's on the Beautylish's site now and we can all see that the prices rival those of The Ordinary. That said, I'm eager to try both skincare products.

How do you guys feel about mystery bags/boxes? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I don't know if the beauty box subscription by Shakeira (Primrose Beaute) counts as a mystery box. However, since you didn't know what you were getting before hand I would say yes it does. That said I think they are a good way to try products...that is if you like what you got. Otherwise, re gifting is cool too. Btw you should've let Logan help you unbox lmao

    1. ooooohhhh you did want all of de paper get bite up! LOL

Well howdy to a flaming 2020 💣

Ok, let's remain positive and do what we have to to beat this thing.

If you're looking for a brief escape from the onslaught of bad news, #nojudgementzone here. Let me hop back into this blogging thing for a much needed source of distraction and hopefully; a lil product information.

We've never really talked about perfumes before so let's do that:

Maison Margiela REPLICA 'Dancing On The Moon' 0.04 fl. oz.

Description: "Dancing On The Moon is an invitation to an extraterrestrial escape.
The fragrance delicately combines a bouquet of white flowers with a soft mineral side.
White Jasmine flower is lifted by aldehydes and moonflower notes.
As the perfume evolves, the warmer notes of ambergris, musk and vanilla emerge.

Feel the weightlessness of your body slip away from reality.
Your ethereal moves cast pale shadows on the lunar landscape.
A gracious defiance.

This bright Eau de Parfum is part of the Replica Fantasies Collection.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.
