#FlashbackFriday | Beauty in Panama

Panama is most definitely beautiful. It was never a place I intended to visit so let me begin by thanking Innovate Barbados and COPA Airlines for the opportunity. COPA Airlines sponsored Innovate Barbados 2018 and provided three tickets for attendees to any COPA Airlines destination in the Caribbean or Central America. Panama was being promoted as a shopping destination - cause yuh know how Bajans love tuh shop!

If you're new to this blog, when a post starts with 'Beauty at/in...' it's not about the places' landscapes. It's a beauty blog after all; we're all about what cosmetics are available.

Having done no research about Panama, I was shocked to see the variety of brands available there. Panama is home to the largest mall in the Americas: Albrook Mall.

Very popular brands are available in Panama; whether it's via stand alone stores or counters in Cave Shepherd  / JC Penny-esque department stores. They're a lot of pictures ahead to be prepared to scroll πŸ˜„

In the MultiPlaza complex, luxury brands are available like: Hermes, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Versace, Cartier etc. They're also fantastic restaurants and familiar franchise eateries. I can not tell you how many Cinnabon MiniBon rolls I ate πŸ˜› Oh, Starbucks is there too.

The most glorious find was a Guiseppe Zanotti store😻

I wouldn't recommend the Vichy toner due its high alcohol content. Finally, I'm gonna try something from Lush. Stay tuned for a review. Sorry for the picture overload, long story short: Panama is worth the trip. I might go again next year πŸ˜€ Transport is cheap and food is reasonable.

Sampled Out | Perfumes

Well howdy to a flaming 2020 πŸ’£

Ok, let's remain positive and do what we have to to beat this thing.

If you're looking for a brief escape from the onslaught of bad news, #nojudgementzone here. Let me hop back into this blogging thing for a much needed source of distraction and hopefully; a lil product information.

We've never really talked about perfumes before so let's do that:

Maison Margiela REPLICA 'Dancing On The Moon' 0.04 fl. oz.

Description: "Dancing On The Moon is an invitation to an extraterrestrial escape.
The fragrance delicately combines a bouquet of white flowers with a soft mineral side.
White Jasmine flower is lifted by aldehydes and moonflower notes.
As the perfume evolves, the warmer notes of ambergris, musk and vanilla emerge.

Feel the weightlessness of your body slip away from reality.
Your ethereal moves cast pale shadows on the lunar landscape.
A gracious defiance.

This bright Eau de Parfum is part of the Replica Fantasies Collection.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.
