Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam

If had I done this review shortly after a couple uses, I would have told you it was a total waste of money. Let that be a reminder to take all first impressions with a grain of salt.

The only reason I purchased this was make up a quota at an Estฤ“e Lauder event in Cave Shepherd last year. From the website: "Product Details - Micro-purifying. Micro-revitalizing.

This conditioning formula transforms into a soft, airy foam that removes makeup and impurities, including pollution, as it purifies deep within skin's surface to improve your overall healthy look.

The high performance formula rinses easily and leaves skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed.

HOW TO USE

Every night, massage gently over damp skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Avoid eye area."

The yellow cream does transform into a mild foam that effectively cleanses the skin without leaving it dry. After prolonged use, I have come to appreciate this product for exactly that reason.

Aromatherapy is a must. The Puressentiel line is available from Aqua Pharmacy. The Air Sprays in particular limit the sources of allergies, promote sleep, calm stress etc. If you suffer from sinus congestion, it's worth it to keep them in your arsenal. this works is a beloved brand over here but y'all already knew that.

'Sea Salt & Kelp' is the winning scent among these Waitrose body washes. Check them out in Massy Stores; cheap and sweet.

Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mists are also standard repurchases. I had that Victoria's Secret one in my gym bag and it expired. Never seen that before.

More body wash; all good stuff. Y'all realise Bath and Bath Works up de ting on their Aromatherapy packaging?

My Voluspa candle collection has increased this year. 'Elysian Garden' smells amazing. "Elysian Garden: Sunlight Speckled Fern, Moss & Grotto, Citrus Fruit, Green Foliage." They classified it as a green scent, I didn&#…

Wish List Update

Retrospection is good for the soul ๐Ÿ˜ Every once in a while I like to think back on the things I was lusting after and see if they were worth all the hype. Today we're checking out this post from April 2017.

Son & Park Beauty Water

Love. Love. Love. Won't be without it.

Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser
Another love. Probably the only cream cleanser I would repurchase.

Cane + Austin Prime & Protect Mattifying Primer with Broad Spectrum SPF 50
Bought this one too.

Peter Thomas Roth Moor Please! Irish Moor Mud 3-Piece Kit
I didn't buy that kit cause a better one came out. Honestly, I just wanted to try the Irish Moor Mud Purifying Cleansing Gel. More on that in another post. Check out Marsha's review of the gold mask here.

Herbivore Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask
Another case where a value set saved me a few dollars. Read more about my Herbivore Botanicals routine here. The sizes that come in their kits are so adequate; I don't think I&#…

Herbivore Botanicals PM Skincare Routine

Last year I outlined a fairly comprehensive night time routine with a couple of options. As I said then, I mainly listen to my skin and use whatever type of product it seems to be needing. Sometimes laziness or a migraine may keep me from doing any sort of a routine at all ๐Ÿ˜ž Thankfully, those days are in the minority.

If you're thinking of compiling a skincare routine, I'd like to offer this basic principle: day time - protect; night time - repair. That coupled with staying away from harmful ingredients and you're well on your way. Many brands will try to sell you on using numerous products in their range, claiming they "work best" together. That may be true but I am a skeptic. Once you know how active ingredients work you can use anything from any line. All that said, for the first time in a long time I've been using some products from Herbivore Botancials back-to-back and the routine ain't too shabby.
