Sephora VIB Sale | Recommended Value Sets

If it's one section I'm always on on it's that 'Value Set' page. Lordie! Regular readers know that I'm a big fan of value sets; it's a great way to try a brand for the first time or restock on your favourites in full or travel size. The Sephora VIB sale is fast approaching. It's usually 20% off for VIB Rouge and VIB, or just 15% for VIB...I can't remember. Follow us on Instagram where we update you on that kindda stuff.

Here are a few of my value set suggestions:

Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux - $25USD

I know I recently said that I'm not picking this up but I think you absolutely should if you've never tried this formula before. Not only is the product comfortable, pigmented and made with food grade ingredients; Bite's Matte Creme Lip Crayons stand up to de Buhbaydus heat unlike their Luminous Creme counterparts. This set is good value for money as Eshani breaks down below.

Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo: Total Transformation Kit - $85USD

The mofos carry up the price but it's still worth it. Or you could put a few more dollars with that and get a full sized Good Genes. Worth it. Worth it. Worth it.

Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo: Total Transformation Kit -

Kat Von D Everlasting Mini Liquid Lipstick Set - $49USD

I already bought this; I couldn't wait. I love that she included two new shades in there too. Check out Heather's swatches below. image

First Aid Beauty FAB Beautique - $48USD

First Aid Beauty is totally #TeamModenApproved. I've encountered one miss in all of their product that I've tried and that was a shade preference thing. I've purchased two value sets in the past and this one is absolutely on my 'Loves List'. image

Ole Henriksen Love It All - Blockbuster Skincare Set - $59USD

This caught my eye because it contains the African Red Tea Foaming CleanserTruth Serum Collagen Booster and Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask. Everything else is gravy. image

Laura Mercier Le Petite Souffles Body Creme Collection - $62USD

I really really don't buy these kind of things anymore. I have a backlog of lotion from Bath and Body Works, Eden's Choice Naturals and Krysiee's Essentials. But I have heard people raving about these for years. Why not get it with a discount right? image

Let us know what you have your eyes on.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

#Anti-Haul | My Brand Blacklist

In keeping with the Brand Awareness series, I was planning to do a Beauty Brands Drama series and discuss just that. The idea was scrapped cause really, I like to laugh and ting at dem tings but they don't truly matter in the grand scheme of life. What does matter though is that we be smart consumers. Let's not fall into mob mentality - whether for or against. Let's spend our money wisely and less susceptible to marketing ploys.

By all means, spend your money how you want. Like whichever brand you choose. Rep whomever influencer you "love". This is just my 10¢.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I bought one of his liquid lipsticks; I wore it once and then I threw it away (I didn't like the scent). Yuh see, I actually believe that this man is just an entertainer. He likes to say things for shock value. He likes the limelight...loves the attention. What he actually believes? I don't know if we'll ever really know. What I know fuh sure though is that he ain't tu…
