I purchased this from Collins for $8.15BDS. It was the last one on the shelf, but they promised to restock soon. As you can see, my packaging says nothing about 'glow-boosting'. This is one of four types available. For behind the scenes take a look at my Periscope 😉

Followed the instructions and ended up here:

I appreciate that there was enough surface area for those people with bigger faces but it wasn't the best fitting on me. Small scene though. There was definitely plenty of serum in the package even after the mask was removed.

The packaging also states that the product is "free of mineral oil and petrolatum" unlike the spiel on the website. You will notice above that the mask I purchased does contain parabens.

While this is advertised as suitable for sensitive skin I absolutely disagree. Vandana recently told me that she tried one of these Garnier masks and she had to take it off immediately because her skin started to burn. I noticed a tingling sensation on my nose and upper lip. It dissipated after a few minutes so I kept on the mask for the recommended time. I did rinse my face after I removed the mask since I wasn't comfortable leaving the serum on my skin. Sensitive skin folks should stay away from products that contain added fragrance or perfume.

Glycerin masks would a great pre-makeup step since that ingredient helps products adhere to the skin. Fuh my one part; that's what primer is for. One indisputable fact though: the masks are inexpensive and easily accessible.

Let us know your thoughts on any of the Garnier sheet masks that you've tried in the comments.

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

The beauty industry is really ovadoing it with the releases cause they realise consumers are just lapping it up. We really need to take stock of what we have and be more mindful of what we're purchasing.

Personally I'm at a point where not much excites me and I truly need to cut my eye at the people tings 😁 That and Auntie Mia wanna put VAT on online purchases 👀I dunno how we gine survive bout hey! Of course I still wanna support the local M.A.C counters and attend Beauty Tradeshows so I gotta be realistic. A low buy suits me just fine.
