Now let's clear away some cobweb and talk favourites.

NARS Lip Gloss 'Stolen Kisses'

"Sparkling Caramel Pink." My wife sent this for me and I am most grateful. I must have never tried a NARS gloss before because this formula was a new experience for me. The formula isn't sticky but it still lasts. 'Stolen Kisses' looks great on its own or over a nude lipstick and/or lip liner.

Smith Cosmetics 256 Arrowhead Laydown Eyeshadow Brush Large
"#256 Arrowhead Laydown Eyeshadow Brush Large

Created with flexibility in mind, this brush features a versatile shape and is made of soft, thin pony hair. The pointed tip fits easily into the inner and outer corners of the eyes, while using the outside edge creates a beautiful natural crease contour.

Product Pairing: #256 is for use with powder products.
" This was an excellent recommendation from Trisha while she was at the Smith Cosmetics booth at The Makeup Show L.A. It's great for sparkly lid shades and particularly good for those of us with small eyes. I have to get the smaller version. These Smith brushes handles are a little longer than I would prefer but I can't knock their quality. image

Malin + Goetz Acne Treatment Nighttime

"Our Acne Treatment synthesizes salicylic acid with 10% active sulfur to effectively dry and medicate acne pimples. Balanced with organic camphor to help fight impurities, our formula incorporates zinc oxide to help prevent signs of scarring.

select ingredients.
active sulfur dries.
salicylic acid exfoliates.
organic camphor calms.
zinc oxide is known to reduce signs of scars.

for all skin types.

Do not shake. After cleansing, dip a cotton swab into sediment and apply directly to blemish at bedtime. Do not rub. Leave on overnight for best results. Limit to one application daily as over applying can lead to dryness.

Since purchasing this I feel no need to use any of these acne treatments. It smells hella strong but it works.

Sunday Riley Good Genes versus Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

If you're an avid YouTube watcher you've probably heard about these products. Both brands blew up on the skincare seen in short order as expensive, but effective. If you're like me you quickly began to wonder: which is better? Short answer: it depends.

Long answer...

I've mentioned Good Genes a few times before on the blog. This 'all-in-one lactic acid treatment' is raved about by the likes of Stephanie Nicole and Caroline Hirons.

From the box: "Deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discolorations. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes*

*Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes. Results obtained via profilometry analysis.

#FlashbackFriday | Beauty in Panama

Panama is most definitely beautiful. It was never a place I intended to visit so let me begin by thanking Innovate Barbados and COPA Airlines for the opportunity. COPA Airlines sponsored Innovate Barbados 2018 and provided three tickets for attendees to any COPA Airlines destination in the Caribbean or Central America. Panama was being promoted as a shopping destination - cause yuh know how Bajans love tuh shop!

If you're new to this blog, when a post starts with 'Beauty at/in...' it's not about the places' landscapes. It's a beauty blog after all; we're all about what cosmetics are available.

Having done no research about Panama, I was shocked to see the variety of brands available there. Panama is home to the largest mall in the Americas: Albrook Mall.

Very popular brands are available in Panama; whether it's via stand alone stores or counters in Cave Shepherd  / JC Penny-esque department stores. They're a lot of pictures ahead to be prepared to s…
