Faves In Five | March 2019

I really ain't do one o dese since May last year ? Man 2018 like it was a rough time regarding blogging. I guess I lost my mojo 😕 Anyhow, here are a few things I've been loving recently. Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder I got a 10 g / 0.35 oz. travel size in some kit or de other. I've heard itsKeerstin  rave about these powder cleansers but I wasn't really checking. My mistake. I completely recommend this if you have oily or combination skin. It cleanses and mattifies without making the skin uncomfortably dry. Make sure to follow the instructions and wet your hands first. Trust me, I wasted so much product trying to wet the powder after having it in my palm. Big no no. Would I use type of cleanser exclusively? No; but's only because I like options 😉 The full size, 60 grams, retails for $65 USD . That's a lot of money but it's also a lot of product. A Cautionary Tale...

Hi ho, your friendly neighbourhood beauty blogger coming to you today to remind you not to overstock certain skincare items 😞 One major mistake I made upon embarking on this beauty blogger road is feeling like I had to purchase a lot of things in order to share my opinions on them. While I enjoy bringing those comparison posts to you, I have since learnt to pick my battles. Especially now that I have had to face a bitter truth: dese tings does expire. Now I does carry [good] mascaras tuh de bone and powder products have a longer shelf life than those symbols indicate but I gotta be more mindful when it comes to skincare. All this to say: do not overstock on products you know it will take ages to use up. Do not overstock on products that definitely have a short shelf life.
