Sampled Out

Using up samples seems to be the only thing I'm doing right these days... Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator 0.25 oz / 7.5 g The Microdermabrasion one is bae. I dunno what's this impostor; doth not recommend. Ok seriously, if you find my self dubbed "face sandpaper" too harsh maybe you would like this. Sephora Collection Exfoliating Cleansing Cream 0.1 fl. oz. / 3 ml This was ok. It's not listed on anymore so there's that. I didn't have any expectations for this product going in but now I'm inclined to give more Sephora Collection skincare a try if the price is right and the ingredients aren't trash. Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield 0.17 fl. oz. / 5 ml My wife's mother loves this product so I was happy to get a trial size. Unfortunately, air in the packaging seems to have affected the consistency. It pilled immediately when dispensed and was unusable 😒 The premise is a great idea though; blu

#FlashbackFriday | Beauty in Panama

Panama is most definitely beautiful. It was never a place I intended to visit so let me begin by thanking Innovate Barbados and COPA Airlines for the opportunity. COPA Airlines sponsored Innovate Barbados 2018 and provided three tickets for attendees to any COPA Airlines destination in the Caribbean or Central America. Panama was being promoted as a shopping destination - cause yuh know how Bajans love tuh shop! If you're new to this blog, when a post starts with  'Beauty at/in...' it's not about the places' landscapes. It's a beauty blog after all; we're all about what cosmetics are available. Having done no research about Panama, I was shocked to see the variety of brands available there. Panama is home to the largest mall in the Americas: Albrook Mall . Very popular brands are available in Panama; whether it's via stand alone stores or counters in Cave Shepherd  / JC Penny-esque department stores. They're a lot of pictures ahe

Best Cleanser Ever.

Yup. I said it. Here I said I used this when I had a heat rash. At that time, I was impressed with how gentle yet effective it was. When I used it after I had super sensitive skin post vampire facial, I was a true believer. Previously, the Farmacy Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser was in rotation. I thought that was gentle but I did experience a slight sensation during that touchous time. So I ran back to this Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser. From their website : " Start here . If you’re going to do one thing for your skin, it should be quality daily cleansing with clean and effective ingredients. Our powerful, but gentle daily face wash is formulated with cold-pressed antioxidants - kale, spinach, and green tea - to give your skin the ultimate cleanse. It works effectively to prevent buildup in pores, remove makeup, and balance pH without drying or stripping. This is the green juice cleanse for your face. Packaged in glass bottles to ensure the purity of

Brush Declutter

The last time I did one of these was in 2016 so this is long overdue. There's nothing like seeing your friends' collection to make you realise how much stuff your really have. Yuh know who has too many brushes? This girl here. This is technically a mini declutter cause I didn't get rid of that many; but hey... it's a start. The only big fails here are the M.A.C 137 and EcoTools brush. That is the natural haired version of the 137; here's what M.A.C says about the synthetic version: " a long-haired blending brush for the face. This ultra-soft and silky tapered brush allows for a light dusting of any powder, making it perfect for an all-over wash of colour. " This brush is an absolute waste of time and sheds like a mofo. I think the EcoTools brush was marketed as an applicator for bb creams. I can't remember and it's no longer on their website. Anyho, I got it to compare to the Wayne Goss Brush 01 Foundation Brush . Chalk and cheese tbh. Th

Faves In Five | May 2019

Crop Over is upon us. The heat is already stifling. Let's stay cool and hydrated. During my unplanned break I've been using things 😆 Fresh Sugar Coconut Hydrating Lip Balm Kelsee said this smelled amazing and she was so right. " The rich, cushiony formula coats lips with a protective veil that smoothes and comforts on contact while delivering a velvety sheen and addictive flavour inspired by coconut cream. " I'm still working out the top five balms in my stash but this is a contender. Speaking of hydration... CeraVe Healing Ointment Is it only me that feet getting crusty as I get older? Here I told you that I'm no stranger to moisturizer but lawwwddd. This 'skin protectant' works great on my feet. The active ingredient is 46.5% petrolatum. Mahalo Skin Care Rare Indigo I didn't try this brand in 2018  but it din gine pass me this year. Beautylish made it easier once they started carrying the line. My interest was peaked b
