Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2021

Guys, I'm still around 😂 I hope you are too.

In uncertain times, routine can bring some semblance of sanity. Something to look forward to brings hope. Right? Right. So let's stick to routine and talk about some great Sephora value sets and the approaching Holiday sale.

Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2021

Customs killing we and with the cost of living getting more astronomical, we gotta watch our coppers tighter dan Ms. Ram. Sales can be a time to replenish favourites or try something new in mini size if you're not totally ready to commit. Here are some of the kits that caught my eye.

Laneige All Nighter Lip Set - $30USD

I love that Laneige does these every year. It's a great way to try new scents of a fan favourite product.

And if you don't care about a full size of the original version...

Laneige Midnight Minis Set - $18USD

It's Dame Pat. Need I say more?

Sol de Janeiro Stellar Celebration - $42USD

The lip balm is great and I've come to like the 'Bum Bum Cream' scent. The shower cream-gel is what I want to try next.

I can't find a picture of this one. Their deep conditioning treatment has worked for me thus far so I'm interested to try more. This brand is black owned.

Farmacy Beauty Garden Party Green Clean Trio - $42USD

These brands know how to get yuh money boy. Farmacy is taking this Green Clean thing to the bank. I'm not a fan of the scent of the original cleansing balm but the Sweet Apple version is 👍 The fact that these limited edition scents are 1.7 fl. oz. each is fantastic.

Urban Decay Major Upgrade 24/7 Eyeliner Gift Set - $44USD

Another one I couldn't find a picture for. I'm still a fan of these liners.

Youth To The People Youth Minimalist Kit Holiday - $46USD

This brand like it gine just be in every Sephora recommendations post. I might have to pick up this set cause I could always do with a back up cleanser but mostly I want to try their Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum.

NARS High Profile Cheek Palette - $59USD

Do we need another blush palette? No. Do we still want this one? Absolutely.

Nécessaire The Body Ritual - $40USD

We have to take care of the skin on our body. Have to. The eucalyptus scent in The Body Wash could be a lil stronger IMO but this brand isn't about that strong scent life. Y'all already know I'm a fan of everything exfoliation. The concept of a Body Serum is new for me but it makes sense right? Why wouldn't you want to take care of your biggest organ?

Ok that's it. I may be back with my wish list or a haul 😏 Take care til next time.

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe . Corny? I know. I try. Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector , a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same . You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here. swatches straight from the tubes swatches blended out Can you tell which is which? No? Well, neither can I. From the MUFE site -  " Details : STEP1 Skin Equalizer triples the power of your foundation: easier application, optimized makeup result, improved wear. STEP1 is the range of skin equalizers developed to refine, smooth and even out. Our exclusive Equalizer Complex delivers 3 key actions: - APPLICATION : makeup goes on seamlessly - RE

Lip Liner Declutter

I have a problem. Well clearly I have two problems: I obviously feel like I have to try every lip liner on the market and I take too long to actually try them. Evidenced by taking stock of the above captioned category and discovering that I had 57 lip liners in my stash; 16 of which were still in their plastic wrapping. Shameful. What's more shameful is that after hours of swatching and comparing and swatching again I could only find 13 that I was willing to part with. Sigh. Plum and nude/brown lip liners like dem is my kryptonite.
