More Black Friday sales. More overdue skincare product reviews 😖
Earlier this year I mentioned, over on Instagram, that the Good Molecules Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel is #TeamModenApproved.
Much like The Ordinary and The Inkey List, Good Molecules is an inexpensive brand that focuses on simple formulations. The cleansing gel is effective, cheap (12USD for 4 oz.) and lasts a while. Literally a little goes a long way. It comes in a glass bottle with an efficient pump dispenser. Using this product til the end made me realise something: I haven't tried a thing from Good Molecules that I don't like.
Most repurchased: Clarify & Cleanse Bar.
"Why It’s Special:
- Salicylic acid and tea tree oil help to clarify and prevent blemishes with antiseptic and astringent powers
- Kaolin clay balances excess sebum while antioxidant-rich cocoa powder soothes inflammation and redness
- Rosehip and grapeseed oils nourish and maintain a healthy moisture balance while promoting elasticity
- Formulated without soap or harsh cleansing agents and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive".
Good Molecules revamped their packaging and now there's a full breakdown of how much of what is in each product. They also list the pH. Every brand needs to do this. One bar retails for 5USD. I've used six so far.
My first love: Super Peptide Serum.
In typical Lucinda fashion, I had this put down for a while before I tried it. Such a shame cause I literally had this before the brand actually launched. Then I saw Tarababyz raving about it and was like: I better bus' that open.
"Why It’s Special:
- Smooth, plump and firm skin with copper tripeptides that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions with peptides including Acetyl hexapeptide-8 and acetyl octapeptide-3".
As a big serum and essence fan I'm happy to try one that provides such hydration for 12USD.
Current favourite: Niacinamide Brightening Toner.
"Why It’s Special:
- Target uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores and strengthen your skin’s barrier function with niacinamide (vitamin B3)
- Naturally derived arbutin improves the look of hyperpigmentation while licorice root extract soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production
- A stable form of vitamin C boosts skin’s ability to defend itself against free radical damage and promotes collagen production".
Can you tell I'm really feeling hydrating products? This toner is 14USD for 4 fl. oz.
I should note that the Super Peptide and Discoloration Correcting Serums have been reformulated. So I can't swear for the 'version 1.1's but I will try them. I've also purchased the Instant Cleansing Balm, Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches and Vitamin C Boosting Powder...but alas, they are still untried.
Right so, their Black Friday sale is running from November 25 - 29: 25% off sitewide, 30% off bundles and store packs, gifts with purchase and new releases!
You can buy Good Molecules from their website, Ulta or Beautylish. Beautylish is a #fav cause that whole 'split yuh payments in three' thing does really save the day 😁
