Jordan Samuel Skin Hydrate The Mist

Is it just me or did the Black Friday sales start ridiculously early this year? 👀 These brands know something we don't?

Anyho, Jordan Samuel Skin is 20% off sitewide through to November 29. Seeing that promo reminded me that I haven't reviewed any of his products since posting the haul on our Instagram page last year. So let's start with a fan favourite.

Jordan Samuel Skin Hydrate The Mist

A look at my first spray toner comparison would show that I'm a heavy spray toner user. I have a lot of them in my mini fridge and regular one. This was the main product I wanted to try from the Jordan Samuel Skin line.

Jordan Samuel Skin Hydrate The Mist ingredients

From the website: "a twist on the best selling Hydrate Facial Serum, this daily hydration mist will keep your skin bathed in humectants all day long!" 4 fl. oz. / 120 ml retails for 29USD. From Cult Beauty's website: "Why It's Cult - Making the skin care scene his stage, leading skin therapist Jordan Samuel Pacitti founded the eponymous collection in 2013: setting out to create high-performing formulas that artfully tame and perfect complexions in crisis. His former career as a professional ballet dancer made him no stranger to chronic skin irritation and this frustration inspired the Jordan Samuel Skin quest for clear and radiant skin. Poised to pirouette its way into your ritual, this chic and minimalistic collection is perfectly skin-pliac-sing".

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Betaine, Propanediol, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Lithothamnion Calcareum Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Passiflora Incarnata Extract, Disodium Edta, Butylene Glycol, Tamarindus Indica Fruit Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Caprylhydroxamic Acid.

The ingredients list matches that on my packaging.

While the dispenser wasn't stabbing me in the face, I would appreciate a finer mist. It doesn't have to be as fine as the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist. Just a lil less forceful 😂 Lovely glass bottle packaging. Very mild cucumber scent. Relatively simple ingredient list. Not a bad price. All in all I give it #TeamModenApproved. As you see the bottle is empty and I would repurchase.

Take care of yourself til next time 💓

It's A Dupe!

Long time no dupe . Corny? I know. I try. Faithful readers would have seen me rave about the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector , a.k.a Face Cement, numerous times. Well, we have a dupe: The Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Step 1 Skin Equalizer Mattifying Primer. I knew it instantly. So instantly that I've used the MUFE twice and decided that it's ridiculous to keep both since they are the same . You can read all about the Becca primer in the link above so I'm just going to talk about the MUFE version here. swatches straight from the tubes swatches blended out Can you tell which is which? No? Well, neither can I. From the MUFE site -  " Details : STEP1 Skin Equalizer triples the power of your foundation: easier application, optimized makeup result, improved wear. STEP1 is the range of skin equalizers developed to refine, smooth and even out. Our exclusive Equalizer Complex delivers 3 key actions: - APPLICATION : makeup goes on seamlessly - RE

Lip Liner Declutter

I have a problem. Well clearly I have two problems: I obviously feel like I have to try every lip liner on the market and I take too long to actually try them. Evidenced by taking stock of the above captioned category and discovering that I had 57 lip liners in my stash; 16 of which were still in their plastic wrapping. Shameful. What's more shameful is that after hours of swatching and comparing and swatching again I could only find 13 that I was willing to part with. Sigh. Plum and nude/brown lip liners like dem is my kryptonite.
